Spokane County Fire District 9 is seeking "For” and “Against” Committee Members for the November 2026 bond ballot measure.
Seeking “For” Committee Members and “Against” Committee Members (RCW 29A.32.280)
At the regular Board Meeting of Spokane County Fire District 9 (“Agency”), the Agency Board of Commissioners passed a Resolution to place a bond on the November 3, 2026, general election ballot.

Spokane County Fire District 9 is now seeking “For” Committee Members and “Against” Committee Members relating to the aforementioned measure. The committees are set to be formally appointed as delegated by the Fire Chief pursuant to the Agency Resolution referenced above. Each committee shall have not more than three members. Those who reside within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Agency shall be given preference to serve on the committee, pursuant to RCW 29A.32.280 (2). Those submitting letters of interest should disclose their physical address for purposes of establishing whether they reside within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Agency.

Persons who wish to join a committee will be selected based upon the order in which they submit a letter of interest, subject to the preference for Agency residents, referenced above. If interested in serving on a committee, please contact Fire Chief Matthew Vinci as noted below, no later than 4:00pm July 31 , 2026. This notice has been posted on the Agency’s website for a period of not less than seven calendar days.
